Miss Jackson County Crowned Miss National Peanut Festival 2023
DOTHAN, Ala. (October 22, 2023) – Miss Jackson County Leah Whitehead was crowned Miss National Peanut Festival 2023 on Saturday night at the Dothan Civic Center. She competed against 35 other young ladies from throughout the Wiregrass for the prestigious honor.

Whitehead, a 21-year-old student at Auburn University, is majoring in public relations. She is a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and is involved in several other extracurricular activities.
In addition to the Miss National Peanut Festival title, Whitehead also won awards for written communication and placed in the top five for evening gown and interview.
As Miss National Peanut Festival, Whitehead will serve as an ambassador for the peanut industry and the Wiregrass region. She will also represent the Miss National Peanut Festival Organization at various events throughout the year.
Little Miss Coffee County Crowned Little Miss National Peanut Festival 2023
Also on Saturday night, Little Miss Coffee County Ada Donaldson was crowned Little Miss National Peanut Festival 2023. She competed against 15 other young ladies from throughout the Wiregrass for the title.
Donaldson, a 6-year-old student at Enterprise Elementary School, is a member of the Brownies and enjoys dancing, singing, and playing with her friends.
In addition to the Little Miss National Peanut Festival title, Donaldson also won top prizes in community service scrapbook, stage presence, and the interview category.
As Little Miss National Peanut Festival, Donaldson will serve as a role model for other young girls and will help to promote the peanut industry and the Wiregrass region. She will also represent the Little Miss National Peanut Festival Organization at various events throughout the year.
